Hello.
I am rather new to Linux and OpenSuse and decided to use it on my new ASUS laptop, model N76 (it has similar subwoofer with other ASUS laptops, for ex.: N56, G73, etc).
By default it is not working at all, however I have found solution how to make it work (produce some sound). For example it can be seen on 12.04 - No sound from external subwoofer “Sonic Master” on an Asus N76VM - Ask Ubuntu
The only difference for OpenSuse that PulseAudio profile was added to /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/profile-sets/default.conf file.
The problem is that bass from subwoofer is too quite and not exactly the same as it was in Windows.
On above provided solution (the same as on others) there are notices that volume can be increased by gnome alsamixer. I have tried it as well as Sound tab from Yast, but subwoofer is already 100% there and nothing can be increased. Tried to lower volume of master channels but that made sound even worse.
Does anybody know how to improve subwoofer volume for 2.1 profile set or another other working solution for making better sound on ASUS laptops.
Thanks.
