Asus M51-AP067 speaker dosn't work

Hi !
I have Asus M51-AP067 notebook and almost everything works good but the speakers don’t.
If I connect outside speakers than sound card works but laptop’s speakers don’t work.

OS: OpenSuse 11.1 x64
default kernel + update + all patch

Thank you for helping.

Did you tried to rise some mixers in kmix, or unmuting them?

Yes I do.
All mixer are in 100% with kmixer.

Try from yast /hardware/sound/mixer but the inside speaker test contain one menu (only test menu, not mixer) and outside speaker test conatins mixer/test and a lots settings.

Is your inside speaker a speaker which is connected to the soundcard, or is that an IBM beep beep speaker?

this are inside speakers. not beep beep but
this is laptop’s own speakers.

Are the inside speakers connected to the inside soundcard?

Come on, a laptop with sound card and speakers, and the speakers not connected to the sound card?

Open a terminal window, run ‘alsamixer’ while playing music. Play around with the volume levels until you hear sound.

There are some cases in openSUSE-11.1 where the auto probe by alsa of one’s audio hardware did not work.

We coud check for that possibility.

I have seen many strange things in my life, so i asked for the possibility.

I tested with Ubuntu and “WinXP” but laptop’s own speakers worked.

With OpenSuse 11.1x64 laptop’s own speakers don’t work.

We may be able to help you here.
