ASUS BX700 Bluetooth mouse does not work

I have a System76 Lemur Ultra Thin (lemu4) and I installed OpenSUSE 12.2 64 bit from the DVD ISO tonight. I have an Intel Centrino Advanced 6235 N Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip. I also have an ASUS BX700 bluetooth laser mouse. I tried to add it, but it never pairs with my PC. I can’t use my bluetooth laser mouse.

What is causing this problem?

How do I solve it so that I can use my mouse?

Hi
So you have the bluetooth icon showing?

If it is, do you get output from (as root user);

hciconfig hci0
hcitool scan

When you run the above scan command, does the mouse show up? You may
need to run the command a few times (don’t forget to press the pair
button on the mouse and release), once it appears, then try the GUI to
add.

No it still does not work. It sees the ASUS BX700, but the GUI never successfully pairs the device.

I have a Logitech Laser Traveler Mouse that is also a bluetooth mouse. I successfully paired it and it works. I am using it now.

Hi
My anymouse is like that, to get it to pair I first need to see it appear with the hcitool scan command (can take a few goes pf re-running the command), once it’s seen there I can connect/pair via the GUI…
