I installed Suse 11.0 yesterday but the wireless network is not working. I read lot of posts and tutorials about it but I can’t find the answer, how can I setup the wireless to work.
I have a Broadcom 802.11g built in network adapter and an TL-WN321G/WN321G+ Wireless USB adapter both works perfectly with Vista…
I create a log file, you can see it here…
I can’t see any wireless network, but I don’t known why…
Please help me I am new in Linux!

Your browser lied.
Do you have Internet access when running Linux? If you do, then open a console
and enter the following command:
sudo /usr/sbin/install_bcm43xx_firmware
Once you do that, your BCM4318 should work once it is configured.
If you do not have Internet access in Linux, then one of the stickies has a
workaround.
I haven’t internet access under Linux!
I download some wireless manager like madwifi-0.9.4.tar.gz or kwifimanager-1.0.2.tar.gz but I can’t install it because I don’t know what should I do: I ran yast2/software install but I can’t install with it…sorry, this is my second day with Linux! :shame:
First of all, those two packages are for Intel hardware. They would NEVER work
with your BCM4318. You might as well look for an OS X driver!!!
Did you read the sticky that tells you how to get the Broadcom firmware when you
do not have Internet access from Linux? I wrote that for people in your situation.
People like me devote a lot of time in Forums like this helping people like you.
The least you can do is read carefully and do what we ask.
As I said earlier, once you install the firmware, your BCM4318 will work.
Ok guys, I download the 11.1rc version, and install it so i write these lines under Suse’s Firefox! rotfl!
Both USB and built in wireless network work perfectly after installed the new wersion!
Great, thanx all!!
