I’ve been using Asterisk on my 10.3 server for a while now, and am really happy with it.
The server is about to die on me, so I have bought a new one which I have installed 11.1 on. However, there doesn’t seem to be any Asterisk packages for this under Index of /repositories/network:/telephony
Anyone know why, and when this will be available?
Can I use the Factory repository under telephony?

Hallo everyone
I have just installed OpenSuse 11.1 and I have installed asterisk. The asterisk refuses to start with an error. I am thinking there is something that I missed during installation. Does anyone have any instructions as to the procedure that i need to use to successfully install asterisk 1.6?

at least tell us what the error message says, exactly
i can only guess that the error is from Asterisk, and not
openSUSE…which would mean that the problem is with Asterisk and
therefore your best hope for help will be at
http://www.asterisk.org/support
on the other hand, there is a chance that someone here has actually
used Asterisk AND will see your question…

I am running Asterisk servers. But, the servers are not updated to 11.1. (Will do it after 2 months only - lack of time).
I will see if I can try it on a test server in the next few days. But, no guarantee that it will happen in next few days

Yes, I tried the latest version of Asterisk on openSUSE 11.1
I only had analog cards to try it out.
Everything worked fine.
