If you read correctly it is good news that the Aspire One D150 works with 11.1. That improves the probability that it will work with 11.2, but it is by no means certain.
Can you tell us what tests you did to bring you to the view that your webcam is not detected at installation?
Does typing:
lsusb
not show your webcam? Was that the test?
Exactly what webcam does your Aspire One D150 have?
Note there is guidance here for webcams: HCL/Web Cameras - openSUSE
BEFORE you install any drivers you MUST check your webcam’s DeviceID and use that DeviceID to determine what webcam driver should be used.
Hi,

Try
modprobe uvcvideo
Any errors?
You might want to install a viewer like luvcview or wxcam to test with.
modprobe uvcvideo does not report any error but,
luvcview
luvcview version 0.2.1
Video driver: x11
A window manager is available
video /dev/video0
ERROR opening V4L interface
: No such file or directory
I verify that uvcvideo up and running.
kind regards,
Just a guess now, do you have the libv4l package installed? Check with
rpm -q libv4l

Last two posts may be relevant. I don’t have this hardware so can’t assist as much as I’d like.
Both sled11 and 11.2 work ‘out the box’ on my d150 so rather install 11.2.
Sled11 is similar to openSUSE 11.1, so I assume 11.1 should also work.
I used the dvd iso to install though and don’t know if the live images work the same.
