Hi,
I’m searching the web a long time now but did not find any working solution. Does anybody know how I can configure alsa to use dmix as default, also while playing 5.1-sound? Does anybody have a working asoundrc-file? All solutions I tried had problems, mostly because dmix is not working while playing 5.1-sound, or applications cannot play 5.1 while any other programm is using the soundcard.
BTW: Why is such a normal usecase not working out of the box?
