[ASK] display adapter problem

Hello, I have a problem about my Display Adapter. Exactly, it’s not a big problem. But maybe there’s a solution. My monitor is strange. It’s not display smoothly. There are some parts that seems ‘broken’.

Here is the screenshot of my monitor.

When it occurred, I usually just move the window or minimize it then open it again. But it will happen again.

Here is my display adapter, when I checked via lspci :
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] Device 0243

Latency: 0
Region 0: Memory at 56200000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable)

Why is my display adapter like that? Any clues?

Thank you in advence… :)

You did not say which openSUSE version you are using and if this is 32 or 64 bit. If it where openSUSE 11.4/64 bit, I would go to YaST / Software / Software Repositories and add the following repository:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_11.4/

I would then go to YaST / Software / Software Management and update the Xorg-x11-driver and Mesa files the most recent version. You can determine that when looking at the versions tab. See if this might help upgrade the video driver to the most recent version.

Thank You,

Installing or reinstalling some fonts may solve the problem.

Hehehehe… I just forgot to mention it. I’m using oS 11.4 - 32 bit.

Alright, I’ll check if there is option for my 32bit… Thank you for your answer…

Hmm… I did not install additional font. I just use the default font from oS.
