aria2c download with error check

aria2c --check-integrity=true --summary-interval=300 http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.3/iso/openSUSE-12.3-DVD-x86_64.iso.meta4

I’ll had problems with bad downloads on main suse screen. So, I use this to get suse with error checking. Can someone check this line and see if it’s correct?

Also, should I wait for a fixed version for the nvidia and network problems?

Thanks.

Sorry not sure about the line.

Network problem is just an inconvenience and I doubt anything will change on an install disk that just does not normally happen.

The NVIDIA problem may or may not bite you depending on your hardware. I had problems with an old 6800+ card but solved them \o/

From sight, yes. Why not try and see? It will complain if it is incorrect.

All releases have lots of problems at release date. It is your choice,
ride the wave or wait for the calmed waters.

How long should I wait? For the problems to be corrected. Another update to the download.

Also, the terminal line works fine.

The install media will most likely never be “corrected” until ver 13.1 comes out at least. Patches and upgrade will happen though out the versions life. So even if you wait several months the install media will be the same with the same possible problems. After you mange to install some of those problems may or may not be fixed with patches and updates. I had a bit of a problem with NVIDIA but worked through it and now the system runs great The internet problems are not great you just need to follow the instruction at the top posting of this forum.

The install media are never corrected.

You can try it now and correct it after you have install it.

They were just once.

Not sure if it was at the time of the predecessor of zypper fiasco,
about 2007. Was it zypp?

It needs a huge problem for the ISO to be respun. Really huge.

Actually, I should have said that the install media are only corrected if the
release has a bug that prevents installation, and cannot be corrected with an
update. Your earlier example was that kind of problem.

Yes, that kind of problem.

The current network problem is not considered that “huge”.

I used aria2c to download it. The checksum matched, no network problems. I have an nvidia video card, 500 series. Installed with micro fonts, barely readable. Once I used the one-click nvidia installer, all the fonts were normal and screen resolution.

Thanks.
