I use Ardour as my main audio editing software. I thought I would upgrade from 4.7 to 5.4. Of course, it doesn’t start now. I downgraded to 5.0 and it still does not work. I could not find a package to go back to 4.7.
When I run from the command line, I get the following error message:
/usr/lib64/ardour5/ardour-5.0.0: undefined symbol: fftwf_make_planner_thread_safe
Is this a missing file, or an improperly compiled package?
Thanks,
George
Thanks. Guidance appreciated. Since I made my last post, I was able to find an rpm package for Ardour 4.7, uninstalled Ardour 5 (and 5.4) and went back to Ardour 4.7. Works fine now. I don’t think I’ll mess with it until I have the hours have to deal it.
By the way, the first Ardour 5.4 installation I did was from YAST as an update, using the repositories. I did the 5.0 installation from a downloaded rpm. Thanks for the tip on the ecsos repository.
