Architecture Changes when upgrading from 12.1 to 12.2

Dear all,

I’m currently trying to upgrade my opensuse 12.1 to 12.2. After modifying and refreshing the repos, I get the following info when entering zypper dup:

The following packages will change their architecture:
branding-openSUSE x86_64 -> noarch
gsettings-desktop-schemas noarch -> x86_64
mpi-selector x86_64 -> noarch
perl-Config-Crontab x86_64 -> noarch
perl-Parse-RecDescent noarch -> x86_64
xorg-x11 x86_64 -> noarch
xorg-x11-driver-input x86_64 -> noarch
xorg-x11-driver-video x86_64 -> noarch
xorg-x11-libs x86_64 -> noarch

As I definitely don’t want to run the i586 version of these packages, I don’t know how to proceed. How can I keep the x86_64 version of these packages?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

It does not say “i586”, it says “noarch” which means these packages are now architecture independent. So it is OK to proceed.

Thanks a lot! Upgrade worked perfectly.
