AR242x on Aspire 7720

it wont to scan networks. I have a installed madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6 I’ve blacklisted ath5k first time reboot it works but when i try to enable led it stopped work. kay then i reinstalled madwifi but it doesnt work again :confused: The card is detected properly, kernel modules working. here is iwconfig

can anyone help me to get it work?

PS i’ve tried to search this forum but i didn’t find anything ussual for this situation

Just follow the instructions at wireless problem on hp6449us - openSUSE Forums excepts for the bits referring to ndiswrapper; of course, in YaST you must fill in the correct name for your driver.

I sometimes find that the wrong kernel module is loaded (despite attempts to blacklist). Might be worth a check. Go to config of the net card in Yast and to the Tab labelled “Hardware” and the drop-down list called “Module Name”. Make sure ath_pci is in the frame.
