But when I run apt-get update
it breaks … How to Fix ?

Well you asked about 11.1 and your repos are for 11.0 for one thing.

But to be honest, why bother? Zypper is a far cry from the disaster that zmd was and works very well, better designed than apt, I would say. I always have to remember it’s apt-get when you want to update, upgrade, or install, but if you want to search it’s apt-cache. Then if you want to look for a file in a package, it’s apt-file you need.

In which case, why not try zipper or YaST>Software>Update and see if you have more success?

I have zypper,smart and yum set up to access the same above repositories . They work perfectly. only apt breaks. Any clue ?

I would just accept that apt-rpm is a dead project. Latest stable version (0.5.15lorg3.1) is from 21-Jun-2006, and latest development version (0.5.15lorg3.94a) from 12-Jan-2008. And GIT doesn’t sees a commit since 24-Feb-2009.

If you are using the stable version perhaps the problem will disappear with the development version… but I don’t really think it worths your time.
