Apps freeze randomly

HI all,

I just installed in my system Leap 15 with Gnome. I love it in general, but I am having some issues with running apps.
The system seems to freeze from time to time. Not completely, mouse is working, but most of the time, the apps.

Example, Firefox, freezes, with the text cursor and it can take up to 2 minutes to gain control.
I was setting up sound, and when I pressed the “Quick setup” option, it took about 5-6 minutes to gain control, and the system (menus, icons, etc) were unresponsive.
I installed Steam, went to Settings, applied changes, and again unresponsive for 2-3 minutes.

I have a Windows 10 disk, which is my main, until I setup Suse they way I want, and has zero problems.
I ran MemTest+, disk and cpu stress tests, I checked temps, disks, etc. No problems at all.

Any suggestions? It is frustrating to work this way…

Well, since I am still learning, I am using Windows for more than 20 years but it’s the first time I am installing Linux as a primary OS, I did a lot of formats and tests and changes.
After trying Linux Mint Cinnamon, Mint Mate, OpenSuse Tumbleweed Gnome, OpenSuse Leap Plasma, I ended up with the last one, and I am pretty happy.

The problem does not exist anymore, after 3 days, so I consider it, solved.
I am pretty sure, the cause was the USB controller. The reason I believe that is, because once I solved [that issue](http://Linux Mint Cinnamon, Mint Mate, OpenSuse Tumbleweed Gnome, OpenSuse Leap Plasma), this ceased to exist.

Thank you for your help!
