on my leap 15.4 when i start and APPS firefox, gimp … ans do on the apps start and disapear ??!
sometime after a periode if i try again the apps start, but some apps won’t !!
looks like a problem with plasma ??
any idea ??
Did you already check the basics like starting programs from terminal and watching for relevant output? Any hints in journal?
no i did’nt for exemple it is difficult to start libreoffice or filezilla or ark or okular …

i believe it is a nvidia problem i will install drivers from nvidia
after installing nvidia driver still have problem

I look at QT in yast. i am using qt5 , and it is difficult to see if some package are missing ??

While logged out of Plasma, best logged out of X altogether, remove the entire content of ~/.config/, then try Plasma again. If it helps, good. If not, create a new user, and see if that user observes similar errant behavior, which should tell you whether the problem is with your own user account, or somewhere else. If the delete didn’t help, in reply here, after running sudo inxi -U, provide input/output here in reply using PRE tags (</> icon above input window), from the following:
inxi -AGSaz
sudo zypper lr -d
If inxi is not installed, install it with sudo zypper in inxi; sudo inxi -U
You are jumping yourself from conclusion to conclusion without providing any real terminal output. The only relevant information is “Maximum number of clients reached”. This is the reason why you can’t start any additional programs as the maximum amount of Unix sockets on your machine are used. So you need to find out which program uses so much sockets…
