application freeze under kde wayland

hi

i tried many time wayland and application seem to freeze randomly. No problem with xorg.
I use often firefox, seem to happen more often if a file dialog is open.

That happened a lot with subsurface application too.

I don’t seem to be having that problem here. On the other hand, I mostly use Xorg because Wayland still seems not quite ready for prime time.

I suspect that the freezing you see has to do with your video hardware, and with how well Wayland supports that hardware.

I don’t agree completely. GNOME does better on Wayland, KDE does better on plain old Xorg. But what the heck, we can run both with their own preference

I agree with that. But I see I was unclear. When I said that “Wayland still seems not quite ready for prime time”, that was intended to be about KDE-Wayland. Yes, Gnome Wayland works very well here.
