Application for designing frameworks and diagrams

Hi all,
I am in search of a software, where i can draw and design frameworks and diagrams. The software would have pre defined symbols and nodes to draw the framework. Like in windozzz we can use Visio.

Framework example:
Web Services and Service-Oriented Architectures

Any recommendation would be appreciated.

Never mind, i did a bit of search and came across Dia.
Its a gnome application for drawing diagrams, and is what i was looking for.
