Hello
I am trying to understand what are the legal implication after I have built an appliace.
Lets say I create a nice logo and I package an appliances for dns/dhcp/routet/proxy/ftp/apache.
Can I distribute that appliance from a open source project site, or personal site ?
Can I distribute the appliance internally on my company for R&D and developers teams ?
What End user license agreement (EULA) should I add to an appliance I create, GPL. GPL2 , apache ? or ?
Cheers

Disclaimer: I’m not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV. If you want
legal advice, you should consult an attorney.

Should be no problem with that. You have to comply with all of the
licenses for included software, so if you include a third party or
proprietary package or driver, you need to understand those licenses and
comply with them as well.

Same answer as above.

The packages are generally governed by individual licenses, so as long as
your EULA complies with the component licenses, you should be good. You
couldn’t, for example, opt to distribute under a closed license that was
incompatible with the GPL if you’re using GPL’ed software (such as the
Linux kernel).
