Apper crashes in an attempt to install 3rd party tools

When i try to install plug-ins like java or flash player.

First, when i open the rpm, the app that opened it says “could not launch usr/bin/apper”.
Second, when i click next when it shows the packages to install, it just closes and the crash reporter pops up.

P.S., i have the latest opensuse 12.1 and i will post the trace-back.

I just restarted the installer then it just gets stuck on license agreement required and nothing shows up in the text box

Is apper installed?
If not, install it and try again.

Do you know where i could get the apper executable? I’ve looked around on google and haven’t found anything

Please try using Yast > Software > Software Management

It is part of the package named apper which I think should be installed
by default, at least it is on my 12.1 machine without me adding it.
Can you open a terminal and run the command

sudo zypper in apper

this should install it, you need a working internet connection that it
works.
