Do You actually use AppArmor on your desktop computers ?
How is it better/worse from SElinux ?
Does anyone has some basic guide on how to set it up to help prevent threats from basic network applications like i.e. firefox ?
Thanks alot for help in advance.
First read this AppArmor Admin Guide - AppArmor Admin Guide
and this http://www.novell.com/documentation/apparmor/pdfdoc/apparmor2_admin/apparmor2_admin.pdf

There is a wizard.
And forget Novell, the project is hosted at Ubuntu. Novell docs are obsolete.

(from 11.2 x86_64 “Emerald” at Telcontar)
It is since 2.6.36 part of the kernel.
Novell stopped the project in 2007 (I think) but it is not that ubuntu took
it over (but ubuntu has good documentation for it).
The official documentation is at kernel.org
