I’d like to ask if anyone is able to kindly send me the new OpenSuse 11.3 KDE LiveCD or DVD for free, with free as in “a free CD/DVD”. Unfortunately I’m not able to download it myself because of internet connectivity limitations and not able to buy it because of financial reasons. It would take a while (months) before I should be able to get it myself and I hope I’ll be fortunate enough to have it much faster.

Mail me.
If I can find the time, I might be able to help.

There are some really inexpensive options on distrowatch.com - I noted
one that was US$1.95+shipping, might be worth looking into.
Well, come on somebody! How much does it cost, in US money, to send a DVD to someplace in Europe? It can’t be very much. What about the legal aspects? Can we send the non-OSS disk too? Seems like many there don’t have the connections we enjoy.
I’ll have my wife run down to the post office Monday and see what she can find out.
Actually, I did. I was waiting to see if there was any interest.
She took two DVDs , in those thin plastic jewel cases, to the Post Office, had them add the packaging and weight them. She then asked for the rates to several European countries. Nearly all were the same cost.
Express, 3 to 5 business days costs $28.95
Priority, 6 to 10 business days costs $28.00
!st Class, 5 to 10 business days costs $5.64
You also need to fill out Customs papers. Don’t know if there’s a charge for that. First class postage really isn’t that expensive as long as there is no charge for those customs papers. 28 or 29 bucks gets a little pricey, I think. I guess it depends on how bad you need it.
