Anyone got an iPhone w/ iOS 11 to work?

Hi,

I’m trying to get my iPhone connected to TW KDE.
I have followed this instructions so far: https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/linux-iphone-6s-ios-11.html
I’ve managed to pair the device and created a mount point. But mounting it fails with:

Failed to connect to lockdownd service on the device.
Try again. If it still fails try rebooting your device.

According to this source, it has something to do libimobiledevice6:
https://github.com/libimobiledevice/ifuse/issues/32

I don’t want to start compiling things on my own on my production system, is there another way to get this to work?

Thanks.

I am running 15.1. To gain access to an ipad via ifuse, I had to load libimobiledevice6 from the community repo “platter”. Other the instructions on the page you linked worked. You don’t need to sudo. You do need to make the mount point 777.

Hi
It should just work on Tumbleweed, I plug mine in and pops up in Nautilus (Documents on … and iPhone), is the systemd usbmud service starting on plugin?

{phone not connected}
systemctl status usbmuxd.service
● usbmuxd.service - Socket daemon for the usbmux protocol used by Apple devices
     Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/usbmuxd.service; static; vendor preset: disabled)
     Active: inactive (dead)

{connect phone}
systemctl status usbmuxd.service
● usbmuxd.service - Socket daemon for the usbmux protocol used by Apple devices
     Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/usbmuxd.service; static; vendor preset: disabled)
     Active: active (running) since Thu 2020-05-21 17:38:44 CDT; 2s ago

One thing I would check is the cable, I have one here that charges the iPhone, but no good for connecting/data transfer, also check the phone connector it may need cleaning with isopropyl alcohol…
