Any "Out of the Box" surround-sound cards?

I looked at the HCL, and unless I just missed it, I didn’t see any that were surround sound “Out of the Box.” I did notice the Audigy SE appeared to have a tested way of configuring it, but I didn’t see any follow ups on this.

In case there’s specific issues, it’s for 64Bit 'SUSE with 32compat module loaded.

Thanks!

Which one(s)/[all?] specifically worked for you?

I ask because there’s plenty available from 4ch to 8ch on a cursory glance on eBay.

It’s interesting almost all the ones I saw on eBay had an old school joystick port. Kill two birds since my usb joystick refuses to config properly. (But does give output on /dev/js0.)

I have an ASUS Xonar D2. Fully supported, great sound quality.

That’s a bit out of my price range. (Should’ve mentioned that >$100USD.)

But wow, that’s a seriously cool looking sound card.
