Another one bites the dust.

I don’t like long posts so I’ll make this short.

Due to noticing certain “trends” in the forum I’m gathering my goods and shuffling off elsewhere - most likely nowhere in the Linux space other than IRC so if you have something to say -> irc.freenode.net #suse.

I’m sure this’ll make Denver and other > > > people happy tho’. Remember it next time someone leaves - I’m sure there will be many.

/curtsey.

Chrysantine,

don’t do that please.

I am new to this forum, and I seen your posts, and I believe that you have a lot of knowledge and help to give to us newcomers. Your going would not help us, or the forum, and sadly it will make no difference to the kind of people who you are letting yourself be upset by, because they don’t care one way or the other. I do, and I bet there are thousands of people like me.

Please give it another thought

Best regards Keith

Chrysantine, sorry to see you leave. We could use your wit and technical expertise. For example your audio how-to for audigy users has saved many a frustrated audigy user from committing hari-kari.

Maybe take a break for a few weeks, and please come back when the teething pains of our new forum are not so jagged edge sharp.

In the meantime, I hope to see you on IRC #suse.

I would like to offer you some advice Chrysantine - don’t let the politics or agendas of others get in the way of your helpful, knowledgeable posts. You’ve made a tangible difference to the knowledge of many linux users. Keep doing that (preferably here). It will be our loss…

Please don’t leave!

You have sent me in the right direction many times. Most recently, advice to use PHP plugin for Eclipse… I set it up last night and it’s excellent. It’s exactly what I wanted, version control built in… everything… I would go so far as to say it’s better than Visual Studio one of the few decent Microsoft products…

Hi Chrysantine,

Sorry to see you go, even if you did call me a crack head :stuck_out_tongue:

Please do reconsider as your input will certainly be missed!

I am curious to know what you mean by the bit I’ve quoted… It might be good to speak your mind as that might give other insights.

Other that that don’t let a few discourage you, seeing the many you help and also the others that you have a positive relation with…

Hope to be hearing more from you!

If not, … wishing you well.

Cheers,
Wj

Thread moved from Soapbox to Forum for Users Whose Name Begins

I do like NNTP where things don’t move, but where you fix
things by merely telling folks where they need to post.

Sorry things didn’t work out here for you…

Sorry to see you go. Sometimes we need some sharp, no-nonsense comments to keep people from getting too serious on themselves.

Trust me, my wife does that for me all the time (almost too much  ) and it helps keep my Ego in line!

btw… I’m curious if the “trend” you are speaking of is pleasantries/nastiess or adept/inept?

I will keep it short too :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

I do not like this at all.

Just consider that when you allow others to upset you, they have the power. If you leave, they have won.

:frowning:

Looks like the rules were slightly adjusted and the morons banned, so I’ll give it another shot.

Do still not understand everything, but

Chrysantine,

Looking forward to your continued insight, wit and humor.

Jim

Welcome back.
