Another change to Libreoffice repository???

Hi all,

I just found by the error message that ‘zypper lu’ issues that the Repo LibreOffice:/Stable/openSUSE_13.1 is not maintained anymore…

So, what is the actual way forward for Libreoffice? Which Repo shall be used, and where are these kind of changes announced?

Thanks…
Axel

The regular repos.

That change is not so new any more…

See here e.g.:

LibreOffice - openSUSE Wiki says this:

Update to Latest Version

The latest build is available for older openSUSE releases in the LibreOffice:Factory OBS project.

If you want to use specific branch they are maintained in OBS as LibreOffice subprojects with the version number in their name.

I.e. you can get the latest version (i.e. 4.4.0.2 at the moment) in LibreOffice:Factory, and the latest 4.3.x version in LibreOffice:4.3.

And LibreOffice is of course included in the distribution, and will even get updated (as 13.1 shipped with 4.1.x, it will only get 4.1.y updates though). Personally I never had any reason to use an additional repo for LibreOffice…

It hasn’t for a long time. Just now they noticed and removed it, apparently.

The current stable equivalent is:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/4.3/openSUSE_13.1/
for 13.1, or the equivalent for 13.2.
