I’ve loaded, burned, and installed OS 11.4 RC1 without problems. One thing I’m finding annoying in
Firefox 4.0Beta10 is when I’m in a forum, when I right click on a message and select open in new tab, it comes up in a new tab which is how I have it set up. However, when I click on the next reply, it opens a new window, not a new tab as happenned in FF under OS 11.3.
I realize this is mearly annoying, not a real problem but are others experiencing this? If so, has
anyone found a solution yet?
Sorry. folks, the problem is mine. I failed to notice that the developers at Mozilla had changed the order of items in the menu. When I right clicked on a link, I’m used to using the second item in the list which used to be “open in a new tab”. Somebody (in their infinite wisdom?) decided to reverse the positions of the two “open options”, switching “open in new window” with “open in new tab”.
This change occurred with the new version 4.0 series FF.
I had/have that problem, too (together with a change of the position of the refresh button - but that was easier to handle).
And after I have been using 11.4 with Firefox 4 for a while and return to 11.3 with Firefox 3.x I get sometimes the reverse problem -> choosing the first item in the list in Firefox 3.
I hope I will have fund an easy workaround
(probably just a change in the configuration -> somewhere in about:config ?)
ether for Firefox 3 or Firefox 4
until openSUSE 11.4 and Mozilla Firefox 4 will become final versions.
