When I was on a previous SUSE forum avatar support was there. While on that forum there was never a problem with them. The images were also kept to a small size. Which is why I’m confused as to why the images have been disabled? If there was an announcement about this, please direct me to it.
Animated avatars are currently a staff perk. It’s very hard to find some way to thank a group of folks who volunteer thousands of hours to help provide this community, and historically, others. This was one way, and the initial configuration reflects this.
As for an announcement, this discussion board isn’t one of the old forums, but something new, so there’s nothing to announce, really.
