Amdgpu Pageflip timed out error on OpenSUSE tumbleweed KDE wayland | Display freezing error

Hello guys,
I’m experiencing pageflip timed out error on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed while running KDE wayland for a while.

I’ve filed bug report like mentioned over here: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/work_items/4041#note_3504196
and a possible solution to this issue seems to be mentioned here: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/work_items/4241#note_3481392
no idea if/how I should apply patch.

I’m new to linux and I wanted to know if I’m doing something wrong myself, so I figured I should check with the community here

PS this is prompted by the the following error message I found in journalctl after display freezing.

kwin_wayland[2107]: Pageflip timed out! This is a bug in the amdgpu kernel driver
kwin_wayland[2107]: Please report this at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues
kwin_wayland[2107]: With the output of 'sudo dmesg' and 'journalctl --user-unit plasma-kwin_wayland --boot 0'
kwin_wayland[2107]: Pageflip timed out! This is a bug in the amdgpu kernel driver

I had to hold power button to force shutdown afterwards.
