New machine build, AMD Athlon II X3 - Asus M4A89gtd - open SuSE 11.4 (Live iso) … after installation cpu is ID’d as “I586” and not _X64. Confused since my other machine AMD Athlon II X2 on Asus Mobo (diff.) installed as _X64. Manually turned off third core and reinstalled but no change. This “Normal”? Have something to do with “Live CD” install? Not understanding ID’ing AMD as Intel (pentium)
Livemedia iso’s comes in two flavors - you downloaded and installed the
i586 one instead of the x86_64
