Hello everyone!
I have a Lenovo B50-80 i3-5005u 4GB RAM AMD RADEON R5 M330 laptop with openSUSE LEAP 42.1 and when I shutdown my computer I see these errors:
[24.812699] [drm:radeon_pm_late_init [radeon]] ERROR failed to create device file for dpm state
[24.812968] [drm:radeon_pm_late_init [radeon]] ERROR failed to create device file for dpm state
[24.813251] [drm:radeon_pm_late_init [radeon]] ERROR failed to create device file for power profile
[24.813516] [drm:radeon_pm_late_init [radeon]] ERROR failed to create device file for power method
Can anyone help me to solve this problem please?
Running Leap 42.1 on a Lenovo G505s AMD Dual-Graphics Laptop I haven’t noticed this issue but, the Radeon driver does produce the following error during boot:kernel: [drm:radeon_acpi_init [radeon]] ERROR Cannot find a backlight controller
During the boot the following message appears:kernel: [drm] radeon: dpm initialized
Also in your case?
No, in my case the backlight controller it’s working with no problem. Only errors I have is with dpm and power.
The Radeon Dual-Graphics error that I see at boot time has been commented by the AMD developers as being “an unintentional message” which may be corrected with a future update (it is caused by the controller which isn’t connected to the display); possibly the same applies to the messages that you are seeing at power-off:Calling PM “late init” at power-off is very late.
[HR][/HR]There are moments when I can only recommend the Hitch-Hiker’s Guide phrase: {large friendly letters} “Don’t Panic!”
Thank you very much for the response. I make a system update and the errors it’s gone.
By the way is no proprietary drivers for any R5 M300 series, I have to run on the intel graphics for a while.
