Amarok2 and iPod

Is the iPod supposed to work on the current amarok2 package ?

I’ve added the media devices applet and it shows my ipod, but when i click on the connect or add button nothing happens.

According to the latest SVN Digest from http://dot.kde.org support for Ipod
in Amarok2 via the media devices applet has just started.

Does amarok2 have any external players support anyway???
