after upgrading from 10.3 to 11 Amarok’s collection scanner behaved strange. I starts at normal speed, then hogs more and more cpu, slows down and comes to a virtual stop around 30-40%.
Investigating this further, it results from the usage of SQLite. Others have already found this too, see here

Using libsqlite3-0 to 3.5.7-2 instead of 3.5.8-3 seems to fix it in debian, but I haven’t had the time to try it in openSUSE.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this observation in case somebody else is pulling his/her hair out.
