This was my output:
jc_lara@linux-ybrm:~> amarok
KGlobal::locale::Warning your global KLocale is being recreated with a valid main component instead of a fake component, this usually
means you tried to call i18n related functions before your main component was created. You should not do that since it most likely will not work

Tried installing gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good, got this warning:
gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good-0.10.30-4.pm.60.2.x86_64 requires gstreamer-0_10 >= 0.10.33, but cannot be met
install gstreamer-0_10-0.10.35-1.pm.57.3.x86_64 with provider change
obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE — http://packman.links2linux.de
Got another 4 similar warnings, chose the same option, installed, and now I get:
“Atention: Seems you don’t have Gstreamer base complements installed.
Audio and video reproduction has been disabled.”
Phonon::GStreamer::Backend: Failed to initialize GStreamer
(amarok:7627): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_element_set_state: assertion `GST_IS_ELEMENT (element)’ failed

With a message from task bar saying “Audio player device HDA Intel (STAC92xx Analog) doesn’t work. Recurs to.”
It’s official: Amarok is broken. In fact I broke most of KDE when trying to fix some issues I had with which no one helped me here, by the way.
No more dice. I’ll wait til November for openSUSE 12.1. This is what Oldcpu was talking about the other day…
