Amarok not playing files

I upgraded to KDE 4.6 and and have Amarok 2.4. I tried to play some mp3 files: opened them with Amarok, it kept freezed for a while, then behave as if it was playing but the play bar does not move and of course there’s no reproduction. Then sometimes I get “too many errors encountered in playlist”, but then disappears and Amarok continues to play but not playing. This happens with ANY file, not only mp3.

Already tried to delete the .xine folder, no luck. What can I do? Why is it happening? KDE forums have no answer (not one that works for me). Using openSUSE 11.3 x64.

Any help???

Start amarok from a terminal. Are there any errors?

This was my output:

Tried installing gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good, got this warning:
gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good-0.10.30-4.pm.60.2.x86_64 requires gstreamer-0_10 >= 0.10.33, but cannot be met
install gstreamer-0_10-0.10.35-1.pm.57.3.x86_64 with provider change
obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE — http://packman.links2linux.de

Got another 4 similar warnings, chose the same option, installed, and now I get:

“Atention: Seems you don’t have Gstreamer base complements installed.
Audio and video reproduction has been disabled.”
Phonon::GStreamer::Backend: Failed to initialize GStreamer

(amarok:7627): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_element_set_state: assertion `GST_IS_ELEMENT (element)’ failed

With a message from task bar saying “Audio player device HDA Intel (STAC92xx Analog) doesn’t work. Recurs to.”

It’s official: Amarok is broken. In fact I broke most of KDE when trying to fix some issues I had with which no one helped me here, by the way.
No more dice. I’ll wait til November for openSUSE 12.1. This is what Oldcpu was talking about the other day…

Try deleting the the hidden folder .gstreamer-0.10

Work thru all the gstreamer packages and make sure they are from Packman

FYI: All my installs of KDE use the gstreamer backend, but I can actually switch to xine or VLC backends and it still works
