I thought Amarok was suppused to get opus tagging support in 2.8 (Amarok 2.8 Plays Opus Audio, ASX Playlists). However that doesn’t seem to be working for me. Also VLC only finds the tags when I start playing the file, whereas for other formats, when I add several files to the playlist, it will find all tags immediately. Might this be related?
Updating taglib to 1.9 (available in multimedia:libs) seems to fix this. Would be nice to have that in the official repos.
Or maybe not entirely. It seems when I add the files to Amarok’s playlist it simply guesses the tags based on the file name. However if I change the tags it seems to remember the changes.
