I am currently using OpenSUSE 11.0 with Gnome on a laptop. For playing music, I really enjoy using Amarok because of all its additional features. To store all my music, I keep it on an external hard drive, NFTS formatted. I created new playlists from my Windows XP partition and saved them in .m3u format to the external hard drive. However, when I try to import them in to Amarok, and choose the “Storage media”, I receive an error message stating “The KDE mediamanager is not running”. Someone else brought up this issue before, with a reply mentioning that the KDE mediamanager no longer is maintained because of KDE4. Is there a workaround to this in Gnome, or do I have to just wait until a newer stable version of Amarok is available?
Thanks
