Hi All,
Maybe I just had a crap plugin in the old version but I gotta say the gain
normalization that goes on in amarok 2.x is awesome. At least when it’s
set to Album (Settings–>Replay Gain Mode–>Album). The script I had to
handle normalization in amarok 1.4 would do it only by track and some
albums have lower levels than others. IMHO they’ve done a really good job
with this.

Yeh but i still hate the layout of 2, it looks like **** to me.
you can re-arrange it 
I made it resemble the 1.4 layout

Yes. But in this case–considering what the program is susposed to do I’ll
take it sounding better than looking better. 
It took me a long time to figure out how to get it to load all my music and
just play it randomly. Something that was as straight forward as clicking
the little dice icon in 1.4. Now that I’ve figured it out not so bad.
