Hi everybody, I’m facing strange problems related to Amarok 2, exactly I’ve tried build from 18th of Dec., except that bug which is also known with “stop” button and will be fixed asap… After listening a bit longer and changing playlist the overall windows gets totally frozen and I must terminate process. Should I use older 1.4 as it was shipped with 11.1 DVD or wait until next build come? Anyone with similiar problems? Ehm… I almost forgot to mention that I’m using x86_64 OS (maybe it’ll help).
I’m still using 1.4 ‘amarok-packman’ from packman repo. It just works. You need amarok and amarok-xine too. You will probably have to confirm vendor change to packman.
It might fix itself if you wait longer, my Amarok 2 goes inresponsive while loading my playlist which takes like 20 minutes… so the entire screen is greyed out for 20 minutes and then it suddenly starts responding again.
1.4 should still be fine for daily use, personally I gave up on Amarok as I don’t like the way v2 is heading and am now using JUK (fairly similar to 1.4 but even more basic and KDE4 based)

to caf4926: Yeah it’s common that most of advanced users still prefer older 1.4 version 'cos of more improved functionality. As far as I know there are some ready-to-use packages in repos with plugins included so I will think about it.

to Axeia: You’ve got a point there… exactly as you said it’ll get responding after a long period of the time, but it’s disappointing :\ By the way personally I don’t like that “widget based” middle-row concept and it was easiest to build properly configured music collection in previous version (at least for me). Anyway I appreciate your JUK related suggestion, too.
Thx for both comments and connivance to newbies :X
