Am I missing something or does Amarok 2 not have any way to set up media devices? I can’t find any way to add / configure my mp3 player.
Is there something additional I need to install to enable it?

basic functionality - IMHO it means, there is no media device support yet.
In the meantime, it is at least possible to play music off your mp3 device, if you add its mount point temporarily to your Amarok library (Settings…). Works even with iPods, so libgpod support seems to be already implemented. Drawback: if you disconnect the device, Amarok rescans, and the iPod library scan took ages (a few minutes)
