amarok 2.2.1 - anyone have a package that actually works?

hey-ho,

tried installing this twice from the one click search pages, both attempts caused yast to spit out a failure message, using different packages (i think).

anyone actually manage to install amarok 2.2.1 yes?

i586 11.2 kde live cd
lenovo s10e
installed: codec pack, Quantz, openCiv

regards

It would be nice to know the errors it’s giving you?

Could you also open up a terminal and provide the output of:

zypper lr -d

Could a moderator erase the other post of this? It seems like the OP made a new thread with correct spelling.

Take Care,

Ian

i’ll see what i can do.

yes, delete the other one, the forum went weird and ‘lost’ my first message, apparently not forever however.

It’s not really an amarok fix, but you should follow it carefully.

Amarok just works! and it should be installed anyway with kde

Yes. On OS 11.2 and it works perfectly.

cheers folks, sorted it.

my small netbook screen was obscuring an important part of the yast error message - that it wanted to install kde 4.3.3 before it caould install amarok 2.2.1.

i let it do so and all is good.
