Upgraded to 20240829 and alternate calendar no longer available?
What is that?
It was in the digital clock settings…
KDE 6.1.4 panel digital clock, alternate calendar no longer available since upgrading to 20240829…
Slowly the information is coming. Thanks.
It is still there and not hard to reach…
Right click clock → Configure digital clock → Calendar → Checkbox Alternate Calendar → Apply
It is missing since the update 20240829?
Something is broken on your system. I created a fresh user profile to rule out old remnants. But also a fresh user profile has the alternate calendar settings available.
So did you already test with a fresh user profile?
Is the package kdeplasma6-addons
installed?
I’ve been using ‘alternate calendar’ for over a year, with 20240829 it simply disappears?
It’s up to you to answer my last question. When you install kdeplasma6-addons
the alternate calendar option will show up in the settings again. On a test VB installation i was able to reproduce your issue. Uninstalling this package will remove the alternate calendar.
Why it was uninstalled on your box is a task to find out for you as admin of it. Check zypp history and stuff…
Installing kdeplasma6-addons did get it back in settings again. Thanks!
Now I need to find out what/why it was uninstalled…
