I want to be able to select input and output with my alsamixergui.
I have the alsamixergui shown here:
The setup is a weather sat receiver, where I want to have it’s output be sent trough alsamixergui
How do I that ?
Since you are apparently using pulseaudio, you could also try pavucontrol instead of alsamixergui…
But how is your weather sat receiver connected to your computer? I doubt that anybody could help you without that information.

I take the audio out from the sat receiver and want to feed it to the audio
Well, it is written specifically for pulseaudio, while alsamixergui is for alsa.
I don’t know which one is better because I use neither. But I’d suspect that pavucontrol supports pulseaudio’s features better…
But you could also try switching off pulseaudio and use ALSA directly… (you should then have more controls in alsamixergui ;))
YaST->Hardware->Sound, click on the “Other” button in the bottom-right corner and select “PulseAudio Configuration”

So it’s connected to Line-In of your soundcard?
