Greetings everyone from Nebraska, USA

I’m a newcomer to openSUSE, both the forums and the operating system.

I’ve been using Linux for just short of one year now. I started with Ubuntu. Then discovered KDE. I was really liking Kubuntu, but 9.10 was a total fail on my computer. So I started shopping around for a distro that doesn’t treat KDE like a “redheaded step-child”.

I decided to give openSUSE a try. My first impression from the live cd was good. After installing, I knew I had made a good choice. I’ve already gotten some good help from the forum.

I’m slowly adjusting to the differences between Ubuntu and openSUSE. (there are more than I expected).

Anyway, I’m “linuxminded” and I’m glad to be here. Think I’ll stick around for a while:)

Imho you made a great choice,OpenSuse is very KDE orientated, one of the best. You should definatly enjoy your stay.The community I have found to be very nice.

If you have problems or question’s don’t be afraid to ask, someone round here is always willing to help out when they can.
