Akondai Server problems

Well after my upgrade to 12.1 Kmail2 is giving me an error.
The Akondai Personal Information Management Service is not operational
I have Googled a great deal and deleted the Akondai folders in /local/share and config and I still get the error. I cannot delete or add any resources as soon as I try the Akondai Server tries to run but cannot. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

This thing is driving me nuts.

I don’t know how I got it working but I did finally. In The Resource I can add my address book but cannot remove the read only attribute so I can use it. I mean I uncheck it and try to use it as standard but the attribute comes back? Anyone got any ideas?

i think all you needed to do was have patience…and a lot of it…see
the post i just made to http://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php?t=467857

openSUSE®, the “German Automobiles” of operating systems

You might be right I am not a patient person. I did however get everything sorted out and now I have my system running just like before. I would like to sincerely thank everyone here who offered advice and help. As I said before one of the biggest reasons to stick with a distro is the community and openSUSE has a great community.
