Akonadi ... service is not operational

Hi,
I setup my machine freshly with LEAP 15; today I am starting up my machine and wanting to use kmail, but it does not work anymore. It says

The Akonadi personal information management service is not operational.

So, I try to trace down the error. I logged in as su in Konsole and found the following status:

akonadictl status

gives the following reply:

akonadictl status

Any idea what I could do to fix this? Kmail does not start, so I cannot access my emails - but I have to

Many thanks,
Knut

AFAICS you’re starting / looking at akonadi as sudo/root. Don’t, is should run as your normal user.
