akonadi nepomuk CPU usage

openSUSE 12.2 (i586)
KDE 4.9.5
kernel 3.4.28-2.20-desktop

akonadiserver and other akonadi processes load CPU for 25% each and increase memory consumption progressively untill all free memory is not used including swap.

This is a well known problem in KDE:

what if i really don’t want to find anything?

In the mean time, waiting for a solution, I had to do the following actions in order to get rid of it:

Start -> Configure Desktop -> Desktop search -> disable nepomuk

edit ~/.kde4/share/config/nepomukserverrc and set “Start Nepomuk” to false

[Basic Settings]
Start Nepomuk=false

edit ~/.kde4/share/config/kdedrc and set “autoload” to false for nepomuksearchmodule:
[Module-nepomuksearchmodule]
autoload=false

edit ~/.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc and set “StartServer” to false
[QMYSQL]
StartServer=false

Logout or Reboot.

sorry, but i do not see a question there!

are you looking for help or just making a statement? if making a
statement then you are in the wrong place…this is a forum where
people seek assistance.

if you wish to report a problem then the avenue is bugzilla…but,
everyone already knows that akonadi (and every other desktop searcher
i have ever seen) can suck up all the CPU cycles in the universe…

i deleted it (along with Nepomuk) on the day i installed the OS…
