I have KOrganizer linked to my Google calendar. Each time it accesses the Google calendar to update, enter a new appointment, etc., I get a web page from Google asking permission to allow access to Akonadi to access Google. This is better than previously, where access would simply be cut off. At one time, though, this did function correctly. I am running KOrganizer 5.18.0 (21.08.0) on Frameworks 5.84.0 and QT5.15.2
Assuming you don’t want to get that Google web page each time. I might be wrong, isn’t it the correct way of a client as KOrganizer to ask for permission? If permissions shall be set permanently IMHO a) you have to store your google credentials in KOrganizer or b) grant permanent permission in the Google account. If it’s not asking for login credentials the latter may be the case. But more information is needed to tell anything for sure.
I added Google as a calendar by adding Google Groupware from the calendar tab on Korganizer’s general settings page. It told me to configure Google, which I did – it brings up Google’s page asking to allow akonadi to access Google. This should, as far as I know, be the only time I need to do this. Unfortunately, that Google page seems to come up each time Korganizer accesses Google. I’ve deleted the Google calendar from Korganizer and reattached it. I’ll see if that solves the problem.
