Airplay unavailable via module-raop-discover

Hello openSUSE community,

I have used “pactl load-module module-raop-discover” to successfully view and stream to my HomePod mini speakers on Ubuntu and Fedora. However, when I attempt the same command on openSUSE Tumbleweed I am unable to see any Airplay device (eg. HomePod) even though openSUSE says the module is successfully loaded.

Please provide any suggestions as to how I could troubleshoot this problem.

I don’t know the homepod/airplay stuff, but it uses TCP/IP, correct?

You probably need to adjust the firewall rules.

Thank you. I will try to do so.
Is that best achieved through YaST Firewall? What would you suggest I try changing?

That, I haven’t the foggiest about, I remove the default firewall on my Tumbleweed/Leap installations. But I’m sure somebody else will have some ideas.

Disabling the firewall through YaST enabled me to see and connect to devices via raop-discover.
Thank you for your help!
