After zypper dup in TW for 2082 packages today, machine does not revive from suspend?

Success!!! Parts have been installed to the case, and machine is booted up and being used to post this post . . . .Had some issue with getting the I/O shield misaligned on the ethernet port, after screwing the mobo into place . . . had to uninstall the mobo and bend a grounding tab back to be able to get the ethernet cable clicked in . . . otherwise . . . more or less like connect the dots . . . .

The only problem I have now is “sound” . . . in that there doesn’t seem to be sound . . . except when I plugged in some earphones, then there is low quality sound, just that there is blurry sound when watching a YT video.

I checked “sound” in prefs and it shows a couple of options for sound, “family” and then a “radeon” sound . . . . Before I tried watching a video I had installed Packman repo and then ran a dup, showed one package that said “codecs” . . . ??

I plugged in the “HD Audio” connector from the front panel, not sure where else to look . . . . Or do I also need to install Packman Essentials repo along with the regular Packman repo??

Or, do I need to plug in a speaker of some sort to get sound to emanate from the FrankenRyzenB550berry??? If I wanted to listen to other people, right now I can’t. : - 0

Whatever is the problem with sound, it’s OT for this gargantuan thread about suspend failure.

Thanks . . . just about there for the “end of life” on the thread . . . the solution to the problem of the non-resuming from suspend has been this build.

The story is all documented here . . . from numerous repeated re-visits to the non-resuming . . . to the gathering of the parts and the installation of them.

And now for the minor tweaking of the new machine . . . .
