on my laptop samsung RV520 I upgraded from 15.2 to 15.3, I use KDE and with 15.2 I had a double screen connected, with 15.3 it doesn’t works anymore.
after the upgrade I started with double screen connected but it doesn’t works, at the login mouse move the cursor but no click is honored and keyboard doesn’t works.
I rebooted without the second screen connected and everything worked.
I removed /home/user/.local/share/kscreen and rebooted.
inserted the second screen plug, it seems to works but second screen is blur and active only if mouse is over it, I rebooted.
now when I insert the second screen or I start with the second screen inserted mouse move the cursor but no click is honored and keyboard doesn’t works.
how can I have a working second screen as it was in 15.2?
Try to ask in Hardware sub-forum.
Does the keyboard not respond at all, or does the greeter only not respond? Does keying in Ctrl-Alt-F3, Alt-F7 change anything? I’ve encountered instances lately that that keystroke combination solves the lack of response.
I’ve also seen the same greeter appear on each of two displays, and only on one is there any input response. I don’t know whether the greeter was SDDM or LightDM. The theme was completely new to me. A possible solution might be a startup script that uses xrandr to specify one certain screen to be the primary.
If using SDDM now, try switching to LightDM, or vice versa.
