After upgrade from 15.0 to 16.0 wired connection doesn't work

on my desktop pc (small home server) I upgraded from 15.6 to 16.0 and now I cannot use wired connection, in systemsettings>connections I tried to add a wired connection but I cannot click to apply becouse doesn’t accept click

Maybe your case is similar to no-networking-after-upgrade-leap-15-3-to-leap-16-0

but I have already installed neworkmanager and it is running

procuste@server3TW:~> systemctl status NetworkManager

             └─1251 /usr/sbin/NetworkManager --no-daemon

when I try to set wired connection in systemsettings>connections I get this error (but related to wifi connection)
failed to update connection: error writing to file '/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Home&Life SuperWiFi-D9A9.nmconnection': failed rename /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Home&Life SuperWiFi-D9A9.nmconnection.82SAQ3 to /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Home&Life SuperWiFi-D9A9.nmconnection: Permesso negato

I don’t know why language is mixed english-italian…

it seems that doesn’t recognize the network board, or it broke just after the upgrade

@pier_andreit You need to provide info on the hardware, likewise check the output of journalctl -b and look for the likes of firmware erros…

well I tried to boot with opensuse tumbleweed live and the wired network works, this is the infocenter result:

as the infos seems incomplete this is the network card picture:

Is selinux active?

cat /proc/cmdline

It is not recommende to Upgrade from Leap 15.0 to Leap 16.0

sorry, I upgraded from 15.6 to 16.0 not from 15.0, is it possible to correct the wrong title??

yes selinux is active

procuste@server3TW:~> cat /proc/cmdline

procuste@server3TW:~>

Have you tried to disable selinux temporarily
selinux=0
on boot?

yes

procuste@server3TW:~> cat /proc/cmdline

and wired network is always inactive

Have you tried to enable?

I tried to add a wired connection, but it doesn’t result connectable, it appear only in configure connection but if I right click on it the connect option isn’t available (it should connect automatically) and if I click on connections wired doesn’t appear, in live tumbleweed it connect automatically

@pier_andreit and the realtek firmware is installed?

in myrlyn searching realtek I can see:

may be I have to add packman repository?

@pier_andreit So you still have Leap 15.6 repositories… clean them up…

Why do you use my Repo?
